Feature Requests and Bugs

eccenca Documentation

If you encounter any problems or you have found a bug, please use our support system (Jira) at http://support.eccenca.com to report the issue.

User account

You can browse the public issues in all projects anonymously, but in order to enter new issues or help resolve those entered by other developers, you have to log in. You can use your eccenca name and password with the support system and this eccenca wiki (Confluence); the authentication happens against eccenca's back-end servers and your password is never saved in Jira or Confluence itself. However, you must sign up for an account before logging in for the first time in order to allow the system to keep track of your requests and personal preferences.

Choosing the right request type

Make a Problem Report if you have questions like "How can I ...?" or "Why can't I ...?" The support requests will be picked up by eccenca staff or experienced members of the developer community.

File a Bug Report (available in product projects, eg eccenca CE or eccenca EE) if you've spotted an error in the respective product – if something is not working as it should. When the bug is confirmed, it will be forwarded to the internal developers for fixing.

Suggest an Improvement (available in product projects) if you think that an existing feature of the product should be enhanced in future releases. Others may vote on your improvement ideas, and you may vote on those proposed by other community.

Propose a New Feature (available in product projects) if you wish that the product would do something that it currently does not. As with improvements, voting helps the internal developers and product managers define their priorities, so don't keep your opinions secret.
